Sterile solution for nebulizer and instillations "Flu-Acyl broncho" is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases accompanied by hypersecretion of dense and viscous sputum: acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and its complications, pulmonary emphysema, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, sinusitis, secretory otitis media.

How to use

  1. Nebulizer inhalation to reach the bronchial mucosa.
  2. Direct instillation into the ear and rinsing the nose.
  3. Introduction in small doses endobronchially through indwelling catheters, during bronchoscopy, etc.

Nebulizer aerosol administration:

  • for adults - one ampoule per session 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days,
  • for children aged 2 years - up to 1 ampoule per session 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days.

The dose of the agent and the frequency of sessions can be changed by the physician in a wide range depending on the clinical and therapeutic effect without the need to significantly differentiate the doses for adults or children.

Instillation and rinsing of ears and other cavities:

  • ½ ampoule or 1 ampoule per session.

Endotracheal-bronchial instillations:

  • up to 1 ampoule per application, 1-2 times a day or as needed.

Overdose

Side effects

Composition

1 ampoule of 5 ml contains active ingredients: N-acetylcysteine 300 mg, sodium chloride 150 mg; excipients: sodium hydroxide, sodium edetate, water for injection.

Interaction with other means and other types of interaction
Patients receiving drugs based on nitroglycerin, before using a sterile solution for nebulizer and instillations "Flu-Acyl broncho", it is advisable to consult a doctor, since the presence of N-acetylcysteine ​​can lead to hypotension with expansion of the temporal artery. If it is necessary to simultaneously use nitroglycerin and N-acetylcysteine, the patient should be under the supervision of a doctor for the development of hypotension. The patient should be warned about the possibility of headache, in which case the pressure should be monitored.

N-acetylcysteine ​​should not be administered concomitantly with antitussives, since suppression of the cough reflex can increase the stagnation of bronchial secretions.

Sterile solution for nebulizer and instillation "Flu-Acyl broncho" can be used simultaneously with conventional bronchodilators, vasoconstrictors, etc., but in this case should be used as soon as possible.

It is not recommended to mix antibiotics with a sterile solution for nebulizer and instillation "Flu-Acyl broncho".

Laboratory indicators

The use of N-acetylcysteine, which is contained in the sterile solution for nebulizers and instillations "Flu-Acyl broncho", may affect the results of the quantitative determination of salicylates by the colorimetric method and the results of the determination of ketones in urine. It is recommended to inform your doctor before using Flu-Acyl broncho sterile nebulizer and instillation solution if you have recently taken any other medications, including those obtained without a prescription.

Warning
The last inhalation should be done no later than 3-4 hours before bedtime (approximately until 18:00) in order to have time to evacuate sputum before bedtime. To enhance hydration and mucolytic effect, it is advisable to drink a sufficient amount of liquid.

When you open the ampoule of a sterile solution for nebulizer and instillation "Flu-Acyl broncho", a sulfuric smell is released, which does not affect the use of the drug.

A solution of N-acetylcysteine, when stored in open ampoules or transferred to aerosol equipment, in rare cases may acquire a light pink color, which does not affect the effectiveness and tolerability of the drug.

Taking N-acetylcysteine, mainly at the beginning of therapy, can dilute the secretion of the bronchial glands and increase its volume. If the patient is unable to efficiently cough up sputum, postural drainage or bronchoaspiration should be performed to avoid sputum congestion.

Patients with bronchial asthma, during the period of therapy with a sterile solution for a nebulizer and instillations "Flu-Acyl broncho", must be under the supervision of a physician. If bronchospasm develops, N-acetylcysteine ​​should be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment initiated.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ℃ out of the reach of children, protected from light and heat sources.

It is recommended to open the ampoule of the sterile solution for nebulizer and instillation "Flu-Acyl broncho" immediately before use, store the opened ampoules in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours. A solution mixed with other drugs should be used as soon as possible and should not be stored.
