Information

Recommendations for application

Product purpose: Nail polish for topical application on the nail plate, which performs hygienic, prophylactic and aesthetic functions and has an antifungal effect. The active ingredient of ciclopirox nail polish penetrates directly into the nail plate where it has antifungal effect on the most common pathogens of fungal nail infections. It has antibacterial effect against gram-positive and most gram-negative pathogens. Cyclozhen® nail polish is used for fungal nail infections for hygienic, prophylactic and aesthetic purposes.

How to use

Directions for use: Apply to the nails. Unless otherwise prescribed, apply a thin layer of Tsiklozhen® nail polish to the affected nails every second day during the first month. To saturate the nail with the active substance. In the second month of use, the frequency of application should be reduced to twice a week and, starting from the third month onwards, once a week. Before starting the application, remove as much tissue of the affected nail as possible with scissors or special nail files. Clean the nail surface with an alcohol swab. Apply Tsiklozhen® evenly over the entire surface of the affected nail. It is not necessary to apply a thick, shiny layer of varnish, but a thin, even layer. Clean the brush with an alcohol swab immediately after application so that it can be used again. Close the bottle tightly to prevent the lacquer from drying out. Remove the entire layer of nail polish once a week with an alcohol swab. Afterwards, remove the altered nail tissue as completely as possible with a specially designed file.

If the nail polish layer has been damaged, it is sufficient to cover only the area where the nail polish has peeled off with Tsiklozhen® Nail Polish. The nail files you use during the application of the nail polish should be used only for diseased nails; do not use them for healthy nails. The duration of use depends on the degree of damage, but should not exceed 6 months without consulting a doctor. Usually, the fungi causing nail damage are neutralized during this time. If you are not sure whether to continue using the product, please ask your doctor. Please note that if you interrupt the use of Tsiklozhen® Nail Polish: fungal nail infections are often persistent, so if you interrupt or stop using it prematurely, there is a risk that your nails will deteriorate again. Consult a doctor if you are not sure that your nails are improving.
