OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips

The NEW VanTouch Select Plus test strips are designed for use with the OneTouch Select Plus Simple® glucose meter for quantitative measurement of blood glucose levels for self-monitoring of diabetes mellitus. No coding required.

OneTouch Select® Plus test strips - accuracy you can trust! The test strips are reliably protected from external influences and use a tiny drop of blood for analysis - only 1 microliter. The test strip draws in the blood sample by itself according to the capillary principle, and the results are ready in 5 seconds. The accuracy has been proven in 5 years of clinical research and fully complies with the newer International Accuracy Standard ISO 15197:2013. No coding required.

Active components

The glucose in the blood sample reacts with the test strip enzyme GLUCOSINE oxidase to produce a small electric current.The strength of this current varies with the level (concentration) of glucose in the blood sample. The OneTouch Select Plus Simple® glucose meter measures the strength of this current, calculates your blood glucose level, and displays your result on the glucose meter screen.

Expiration date

The expiration date is printed on the bottle.

Do not use after the expiration date.

Each test strip contains: glucose oxidase (Aspergillus niger) ≥ 0.08 IU; ferricyanide ≥ 22 micrograms (μg); other ingredients (buffer, etc.). The vial contains a desiccant. 

To perform the test, you only need to insert the test strip into the glucose meter (it turns on automatically), after a drop of blood appears on the screen of the glucose meter, you can perform the test. Bring the test strip to the blood drop with the upper cut, the strip is capillary and draws the desired blood sample by itself. After 5 seconds, an accurate result will appear on the screen.

Store test strips only in the original bottle. Carefully read the instructions for use of the test strips and the glucose meter in the instructions for use and the test procedure in the Glucose Meter User Guide (supplied with your system) to prevent errors during the test.

Warnings

• Store the test strips in the original bottle only. To avoid damage or contamination, DO NOT transfer the test strips to any other packaging.
• Only open the test strip bottle when you are removing a test strip for use. After removing the test strip from the bottle, immediately close the cap tightly.
• Do not use the test strips if the vial is damaged or has been left open.
• Avoid contact of the test strips with dirt, food, or liquids. You may touch any part of the test strip surface with clean, dry hands.
• Do not bend, cut, or deform the test strips.
• Do not perform the test with a test strip that is damaged or bent.
• Test strips are intended for single use only.
• Make sure that the glucose meter and test strips are at approximately the same temperature before performing the test.

• Store the test strip bottle in a cool, dry place between 5 °C and 30 °C. Do not store in the refrigerator. Protect from direct sunlight and heat. Exposure to temperatures and/or humidity outside the recommended storage limits may result in inaccurate test results.
• Apply only OneTouch Select® Plus control solution or blood sample to the test strip.
• Do not return the used test strip to the vial after the test.
• In your area, used test strips may be considered biohazardous waste. When disposing of them, follow the advice of healthcare professionals and local regulations.
